A Nigerian man living in the UK identified as Peter Fabiyi has been sentenced to 45 months for masturbating and ejaculating on a stranger while on the Subway in London. The 32 year old man was sentenced this past Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to sexual assault.
He also received a sexual harm prevention order which prevents him from approaching women who are alone on trains. He will be required to use his Oyster card when traveling on public transport for the next five years.
Speaking to the Mirror, Detective Constable Jennifer Brown said that the incident was “hugely shocking and frightening…for this woman” and “I commend her for having the awareness and courage to report the offense and support the prosecution”.
She added that the sentence would serve as a warning that sexual abuse on public transport would not be dealt with lightly.
Fabiyi was arrested after a woman in her twenties reported him to staff on the London Underground for masturbating in front of her and ejaculating on her.
He approached the woman, who was alone in an empty carriage, before the incident.
Police tracked him down to his home in Walthamstow from CCTV footage, which caught him sliding under barriers at the Tulse Hill station, to avoid using his Oyster card. Source: Esabod Global News
