Natalie Cole’s family has confirmed that the singer died of heart failure brought about by a rare lung disease. She was diagnosed with the condition shortly after a kidney transplant in 2009.
Natalie Maria Cole was an American singer, songwriter, and performer. The daughter of Nat King Cole, Natalie rose to musical success in the mid–1970s as an R&B artist with the hits “This Will Be”, “Inseparable”, and “Our Love”. She died on December 31, 2015 at the age of 65.
Her funeral is scheduled for Monday January 11, 2016.
