One of Africa’s finest and prolific Performance Artist, Jelili Atiku, whose body of work has been described as “brave”, “provocative”, “prolific” “engaging” and “questioning” is set to receive the 2015 Prince Claus Award. What are the Prince Claus Awards?
The Prince Claus Awards honour outstanding achievements in the field of culture and development. The Awards are presented annually to Individuals, Groups and Organizations whose cultural actions have a positive impact on the development of their societies. The Award ceremony will take place on 2 December 2015 where the honorees will be presented their awards by HRH Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands.
