A Philadelphia Policeman was shot multiple times on Thursday by a man suspected to have ties to ISIS.
The suspect who used a stolen police gun, confessed to shooting the officer “in the name of Islam” claimed allegiance to ISIS
Philadelphia Police Commissioner, Richard Ross after seeing the surveillance footage noted, “This is absolutely one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen,”. The Thursday night’s incident at West Philadelphia has been described as a “bloody encounter”.
The Philadelphia Police Commissioner said that the 33-year-old Officer, Jesse Hartnett was driving in a marked cruiser through the intersection of 60th and Spruce Streets in West Philadelphia when 30 year old Edward Archer walked up to the police cruiser and opened fire around 11:45 p.m.
According to Ross, the suspect continued shooting and closing in on the police car until he was actually firing from inside the driver’s side window while Hartnett sat behind the wheel. The injured Police Officer had been on the force for five years ~ #NewsTidbitsWithFAB
