New visa waiver rules aimed at preventing terrorists from entering the USA may be announced today. Dept of Homeland Securities will be unveiling these new visa requirements for travelers entering the USA from Europe.
Under the current visa waiver program, people from dozens of countries are allowed to enter the USA for a short period of time without a visa. These new rules will mostly impact nationals with dual citizenship of Iran, Iraq, Syria or Sudan or those who have visited any of those countries in the last 5 years.
